I love my family.

Let's just start there before anyone gets weird.

I love my kids. I love being a mom. I love the little handmade cards and the flowers that were definitely picked up last-minute at Publix on the way home.

I will cherish those crumpled pieces of paper with misspelled words and glue stick chaos forever.

I want a hotel room.

No one is asking for snacks. No one is touching me. No one is narrating their every thought out loud while I'm trying to think a single thought of my own.

I take a shower… alone… without rushing.

I lay in the bed in the middle like a starfish and just exist.

Maybe I order room service.
