Easter Egg Hunt Chaos: How Many Is Too Many? Motherhood Reality

Easter egg hunt chaos with colorful eggs, baskets, candy, and tiny toys - how many hunts are too many?

There are still three days until Easter Sunday…

…and my kids have already done four Easter egg hunts.

Four.

I didn't even go to most of the ones we were invited to.

---

🐣 Easter Egg Hunts Have Gone Off the Rails

When I was a kid, Easter was: - one egg hunt - maybe at church - maybe at grandma's house - and that was IT

Now?

It's: - neighborhood egg hunt - school egg hunt - church egg hunt - "just for fun" egg hunt - surprise egg hunt someone casually throws on a Tuesday

---

We are living in a full-blown:

👉 Easter Egg Hunt Era

---

🍬 The Real Problem: The Candy Situation

Let's talk about what's actually inside these eggs.

Because it's not just eggs.

It's: - an aggressive amount of tootsie rolls - approximately 700 packs of Smarties - candy that no one even likes but somehow keeps multiplying

---

And then…

The tiny plastic toys.

---

🧸 Why Do We Own So Much Tiny Plastic Trash?

My house is now filled with: - erasers shaped like ladybugs that absolutely do not erase - bouncy balls that disappear instantly - tiny toys that exist solely to be stepped on

---

My kids are not just playing with Easter eggs at this point.

👉 They are bathing in them.

---

😅 By Easter Sunday… They're Over It

Here's the part no one talks about:

By the time Easter actually arrives…

👉 my kids are already tired of egg hunts

---

The excitement?

Gone.

The magic?

Fading.

The enthusiasm?

Mild at best.

---

At this point, Easter morning feels less like:

✨ magical family tradition

and more like:

👉 "okay fine we'll go find a few more eggs I guess"

---

🤍 How Much Is Too Much?

I genuinely want to know:

👉 When does "fun" turn into overkill

Because right now it feels like: - too much candy - too many eggs - too many events

---

And not enough actual:

👉 meaning 👉 connection 👉 slowing down

---

🌿 What I'm Doing Instead (This Year)

This year I'm letting go of: - trying to attend every event - saying yes to every invitation - feeling like we're missing out

---

Because we're not.

---

We're choosing: - one meaningful celebration - one egg hunt that actually feels fun - and a little less chaos

---

🤍 Final Thoughts

If your house is currently: - overflowing with plastic eggs - covered in candy wrappers - and your kids have already peaked before Easter even happens

---

You're not alone.

---

And maybe…

Just maybe…

👉 we can all agree this has gotten a little out of hand
