New Semester, Same Chaos (But Make It Holistic)

# New Semester, Same Chaos (But Make It Holistic)
So… I start 3 classes tomorrow
And naturally, I've decided this is also the perfect time to:
- Have both kids home all day (summer vacation… yay 😬) - Attempt to be a present mother - Run my website - And somehow become a functioning graduate student
Confidence level? Aggressive optimism
---
The Reality
This will be my first semester in grad school where my kids are mostly home.
Which means:
- No quiet mornings - No structured school hours - No pretending I have my life together
Instead, it's going to look like:
- Reading research articles while someone yells "MOM WATCH THIS" - Trying to take notes with one hand while making snacks with the other - And fully pretending I can "just squeeze in a quick assignment"
---
But I'm Also… Really Excited
Because these classes? This is the stuff I actually care about.
I'm diving deeper into:
- Herbs - Nutrition - Homeopathy - And understanding the body in a way that actually makes sense
Not just "take this for that"
But:
- Why things work - How the body responds - What actually helps vs what just sounds good on the internet
---
What This Means for You (and This Blog)
Because as I learn… you're coming with me.
I'll be sharing:
- What I'm studying (in normal human language) - What actually works vs what's overhyped - Products I try and genuinely like - Herbs and tools that make sense in real life
---
What I Already Use (And Will Keep Testing)
I'm not starting from zero here. There are already a few things I use regularly that I'll be continuing to learn more about this semester:
### Dandelion Root
One of my simple go-to herbs. Get it here
One of those foundational herbs that just makes sense to keep around—and now I'm excited to actually understand it beyond "this is good for you."
### Homeopathic Remedy Guide
This resource has been one of the most helpful for me so far. Not overwhelming, just something I can actually reference when I need it.
### Homeopathic Remedy for Kids
A go-to remedy because if you have kids… sickness never shows up at a convenient time. Having something simple on hand has made a big difference for us.
### Earth Mama Gift Basket
This gift basket (the tea alone is worth it) feels like a small luxury but is actually survival. The herbal tea is calming, grounding, and honestly one of the few moments in the day that feels slightly peaceful.
(I'm still learning, still studying, and still figuring all of this out in a deeper way—so this is just what's worked for us so far.)

The Balancing Act
I'm not going to pretend this is going to be easy.
It's probably going to be:
- Messy - Chaotic - Slightly unhinged
There will be days where:
- Nothing gets done - Everyone is overstimulated - And I question all of my life choices
But also… growth doesn't happen in perfect conditions
---
What I'm Looking Forward To
More than anything, I'm excited to:
- Learn in a deeper way - Apply it in real life - And share it as I go
Not as an "expert"
But as:
- A mom - Figuring it out - Testing what actually works
---
Final Thought
If you're in a season where you're trying to:
- Grow - Learn - Build something - While also raising tiny humans
Same.
We're not doing it perfectly. But we're doing it.

Q: What subjects are you studying in grad school? A: Herbs, nutrition, homeopathy, and how the body actually works—not just the surface-level "take this for that" approach.
Q: Are the affiliate links products you actually use? A: Yes! I only share products I genuinely use and believe in. These are tools that have made a real difference in our family's wellness routine.
Q: Will you be sharing what you learn in grad school on the blog? A: Absolutely. As I study, I'll be breaking down the science into normal human language and sharing what actually works versus what's just overhyped.
